Joe Jonas shares his beauty secret: anti-aging injections

It seems like just yesterday that Joe Jonas and his superstar siblings made their debut on Disney Channel’s Hannah Montana, but the 33-year-old is the latest celebrity to succumb to the anti-aging effects of injectables.

In an interview with People magazine published yesterday, the “Happy Beginnings” singer spoke candidly about his partnership with the creators of Xeomin, the FDA-approved alternative to Botox for smoothing the appearance of frown lines and crow’s feet around the eyes.

“I started using Xeomin when I noticed I started seeing more frown lines,” he says, “and I don’t think it’s something we have to shy away from. We can be honest and stay confident and not really hold back from telling the truth about ourselves.”

Joe Jonas went on to share his thoughts on health, adding, “I personally care a lot about what I put into my body, and through aesthetic treatments like this, I want to pay attention to what’s inside.” So what makes Xeomin a healthier alternative to Botox? The main factor is that it is a more purified form of the molecule that undergoes a double filtering process to eliminate unwanted proteins, but it also allows for a greater range of motion in the facial muscles (to avoid expressionless, rigid facial expressions). Jonas’ opening comes at a time when the stigma surrounding male grooming and male-centric cosmetic surgery is beginning to dissipate. “I like that it eases the area a little bit and I’m like, ‘Okay, this is great,’ but I don’t really like it. It’s very light,” he added.
